Designer Comments: This project was collaborative with my friend Zain Ilyas. I believe it went well since we won a D&AD. The original idea stemmed from the video game, Ghost of Tsushima. When a story was being told there would be these beautiful ink/watercolour transitions, visualising the story. We wanted to push that forward, but then the project felt like it was trying too hard to be something it wasn’t. Then we stripped it back and focused on making the project our own. We delved more into Bobby Womack as an individual and his life and adapted that ink Blood, the blood theme linking into the theme of the album, the album is Bobby giving his all. This was our first experience on crafting a website and I had to learn how to code for some of the sequences too.
